I'm looking for a motherboard which is going to support my dual PIII 1ghz well...I've been reading some posts in other forums - especially the really huge rumble between the thunderbird and P4 processors...haha. Let's just that I don't want to star that all over again, however...

I read that the VIA chipset really sucks, and my friend has not had grand experiences with it either...so...what are some suggestions on a dual PIII board? I'm looking for something like the SuperMicro 370DDE (yeah, it looks really nice, and has some nifty features, but...it's VIA). Is the VIA really that bad? Furthermore, what's the deal with upgradeable motherboards? I don't understand that too well... I'm not interested in OCing, especially since I'm trying to build something super stable (which is why I picked a PIII instead of something like a really fast dual Athlon)... Again, let's not get into a discussion on which one is better, AMD or Intel. I guess we're all loyal to our processor preference.

Input appreciated...!
