Hello.

In a bit of storage cleaning I fpund a Supermicro 1U NAS/server.
It's a old piece (around 2005-06), but it fires up.

Tho a bit of a snag - it has a Areca ARC-1110 raid controller (PCI-X 133 MHz), wich halts /freezes the boot.
When I remove the card I can boot fine all the way. But with the card in place, I don't even make it to the BIOS loading.

The MB is a Supermicro PDSMI+ (2.1 GHz Dual Core, 1 GB ram)

Any suggestions? Could this be a BIOS problem, or can I assume the card is toast? (Cooling fan on the card is working when I start with the card in place)

This has got me confused.... :hmm::hmm:
