;)

I'm new to this forum but i completely agree with godspeedx. I mean, this is what happens when two superheroes/anime characters go head to head. What other logical scenario could it boil down to. So I'm gonna say Superman would definitely be thrown from his horse and break his neck thus becoming a paraplegic for life. End of story.

Goku can create an energy ball that give off a red sun's light, just like Vegita created the light of the full moon with an energy ball.

goku would win. remember? super saiyans are the superior race. they have no weakness, as well. and i bet goku can move faster than a speeding bullet.

i've never seen superman fight someone with a sword by using just his finger, or slap away a ball of energy with the back of his hand.

what fun is watching a show with a guy who never loses, has no weaknesses, cannot die, is stronger than anyone else? thats like watching the u.s. army vs. an ant on pay-per-view.

goku ...he has the capability to blow up the whole planet....sueprman doesn't stand a chance,.... and i always thought about this too...superman can't even throw fireballs...but he can do that laser thing and have blizzard breath...but still not as powerful as goku...superman has the power of goku b4 goku even knew about turning into supersaiyan..

You've obviously missed most of Dragonball and DBZ. Goku did die saving the Earth, twice. And he's been beaten over and over again, he just refuses to give up and trains harder until he's good enough to save the Earth again :)

It's just that over the period of a couple of decades he's now fought enemies so powerful that he's gotten strong enough to mash Superman into paste or burn him to ash. He never would though, unless Superman went over to the dark side, since Goku is always on the side of light.

I ask again: If you don't consider Goku's power to be magic, and he doesn't have any kryptonite handy, what could Goku do to Superman to harm him? Supes is impervious to everything but magic and kryptonite. All of Goku's power could not hurt Superman, and Superman is plenty strong enough to kill Goku.

since the poll doesn't state which version/state of goku, i'll assume goku at the end of dbgt where he gets absorbed into the dragon and is basicly a eternal and all powerful being. so goku wins.

actually, goku would win any time after he gained the ability to go super saiyan while fighting freeza.

(a) Goku is strong enough to push Superman out of range of Sol, he loses is powers, dead.
(b) Superman is probably not strong enough to hurt a powered-up Goku.
(c) Goku's control of energy is probably good enough to block sunlight from reaching Superman, again the powers go away.

Goku was training at 100 times Earth gravity even before becoming a Super-Saiyan. As an Ascendent Saiyan he is at least 10x as strong, and as a Saiyan-3 another 10x -- I don't think Superman can even stand upright at 10,000 gravities let alone move faster than the eye can follow.

Um, Superman doesn't need direct sunlight to be strong. Once he's been exposed to the sun, his strength remains unless he comes in contact with a red sun. In the old Superman comics, he routinely flies to other galaxies and retains his powers.
His power is limitless.
He can't be hurt.
He can move planets or destroy them if he wants to.

Again, unless Goku comes up with some kryptonite or magic, he can't harm Superman. But I think Superman could easily kill Goku before he powers up.
Maybe this one's a draw.

But as someone else said, Goku can create red sun light if he wants to, just as in some of the Superman-in-captivity comics and animated episodes.

But the draw makes sense, since both are as strong "as they need to be." And both are protectors of Earth anyway, who would never fight "in real life" ;)

Yep, kind of like the Superman vs. The Hulk argument. Both have unlimited strength, so it's a draw.

again: obviously, he cant die or lose.

yes he can die. in the buu series, the only way to defeat buu was to merge with someone else.

and yes he has lost before. he lost and had his son take over the battle for him.

and trunks from the future came and told goku he would die of a heart disease. so yes, once again, he can die.

Who ever voted for super man = teh suckheeer! ;)

Probably half the people don't know what or who goku or DBZ is, which is fine I guess. So we won't count their vote. Goku wins by 100%! ;):p

Ok if you want it to be a good fight, Super Sayin Goku vs. Superman would be interesting. And funny thing would be if at some point Goku tried to blind superman by using a solar flare attack and actually increased his strength. I still give it to Goku in this version of the fight.

Now if you wanted to take Goku from the end of Dragonball GT at Super Sayin 4, Goku would rip Superman limb from limb, squish him into a tiny ball of pudding and vaporize the pudding. At SS4, Goku wouldn't even have to break a sweat.

And as far as Superman being impervious, thats all relative to what's attacking him. That imperviousness would be shown to be false if he fought someone like Goku.
