Damn that's a hot deal. I hope this is a sign of things to come for other PCS providers.

Just renewed my VoiceStream Wireless contract back in November 2001 so it'll be at least 8 months before I can switch to another provider.

You'll need to consider the following about MetroPCS:

1) Long-distance is 5 cents a minute. Good rate but other carriers are offering free long-distance at a comparable rate but without the unlimited calling.

2) Found this in their Terms and Agreements:
Scope of Service. Service is limited to the operating range of our wireless system in your service area. Except for 911 calls, as well as "roaming" calls for which you have independently entered into a roaming service agreement with another service provider, you will not be able to use your wireless phone outside of your service area for any calls, including local calls and long distance calls.

So if you roam outside of a major metro area much this is not a good deal.

I wanted to go for this deal as well...but their coverage area doesn't nearly cover all of Greater Metro Atlanta...hopefully they are working on this...
