I know that SuperFlower/TTGI is well-known for their high-value low-budget power supplies, but this modular style one is newer. There's two models (not counting the varying wattages) from what I can tell, a single 140mm fan one and a 4x80mm fan one that are available in retail channels, though the TTGI website lists four -- the extras are what looks like an 80mm/92mm and a 2x80mm/92mm ...

I've read through the forums here and done a pretty extensive Google search, but haven't been able to find anything other than a few forum-goers (here and elsewhere) who give them a thumbs-up ... no reviews, no mention of anyone actually owning one of these, etc.

So that's where I'm appealing to the wider AT-GH residents at large ... anyone know anything about these? As an aside, anyone know anything about Kasecom.com? They were recommended by someone else in another forum somewhere as being good for SuperFlower/TTGI products because they're located in the same building and therefore provide same-day RMA's and repairs, and they are listed on TTGI's distributors page ... reason I'm asking is it's a solid $15 cheaper at Kasecom than NewEgg ...

NewEgg -- 4x80mm "Link Depot"
NewEgg -- 1x140mm "Link Depot"
Kasecom.com -- 4x80mm

Thanks!

Bump for the afternoon crowd and a PS:

I already know about the Ultra X-Connect, the Antec NeoPower, and the OCZ Modstream. If no one can produce anything reliable about this TTGI, I'm going to be going with the X-Connect. Why? It's cheaper than both the Antec and the OCZ and in my opinion provides better looks (and looks are important in my girlfriend's computer). Don't give me any hassle about it being a rebadge PowMax, I've heard it all and don't buy it. Her computer will not be stressed to the max and we should therefore be fine. I also dislike the dual-rail design of the Antec, though I realize that's the wave of the future, because I'd personally like the individual rails to be much higher than they are currently, especially considering the overall combined limitation between them (ie, if one's at 18A, the other's limited).

Thanks again!

I saw a couple of these at Xoxide. I only really looked at the 550W 14cm one. Looks decent, the specs at least, although IIRC the 12V was a little low on amps. Looks are decent, although I don't know what the cables look like. Other than that it looks decent, although I'd probably go for the OCZ Modstream or Antec Neopower (which I have right now).

What are you asking? Why are they cheaper at Kasecom than Newegg? Because Newegg's prices all went up after they kicked off their national ad campaign. I've been finding cheaper prices at places like Xoxide, ZipZoomFly, eWiz and others.

Are they good power supplies? Probably. They're TTGI. But the cables and interface look alot like Antec/Mad Dog's which aren't the prettiest. ;) Still nicer than a standard PSU.

This thread poped up when I searched for TTGI PLUG-N on yahoo. You may have seen this already but there is a link at the daily hardware reviews on the news section of AT.

My quick take:

Pros:Modular, sleeved cables, big fan,led if you like that sort of thing

Cons:No dual +12V rails, no pci-e connector, optional features - making it hard to know what your getting
