Superfast Connection Tonight, Any great downloads anyone could recommend?

I'm at an elite University for this evening. I have a very, very fast connection. I just got 108 megabyte program in 1.3 minutes. Are there some good Essential applications I could download. Does anyone have recommendations? Essential apps?

Thanks for your tip on clonezilla. I got open office and all the things I wanted from Portableapps.com. I put those on a USB stick.

Around here you can't even watch YouTube at a public library because connection speed is so bad. Maybe 56.4.

My University recently put a terrible cap on all the campus computers. You used to be able to max out the 100mbps connection, now they cap wired to 1.7mbps and wireless to a measly .7mbps. I had faster broadband than that 10 years ago. Now you can't even watch Youtube fluidly. Cheap bastards.
