Supercharged BMW Z8

Wow, take a 400hp 4.8l M5 engine, drop it in a car nearly half the weight, then add a supercharger. 675hp. I wonder if it's difficult to drive, that's SO much power.

that is awsum, that is a lot of power but i think the z8 is designed to handle that power, its fast to begin with. that thing definately looks scary.

I wish it had some performance numbers.... I'm guessing a 12.0 in the 1/4? Sound fair? Maybe a 4s 0-60?

Stock Z8 goes 0-60 in 4.6 and 1/4 in 13.0s.

The Alpina actually deletes the amazing M5 V-8 and replaces it with the larger, less powerful engine from the X5 4.4, so it can work and play well with an automatic transmission. The upshot is that the Alpina is more luxury GT, less muscle car (i.e., slower) than the original.

I like the looks of the removeable top Z8 better than the convertible M Roadster.

It wasn't a car to start with, it was an Ultimate Driving Machine. They strapped a supercharger to it.

But I understand that you would spit in someone's face if they tried to give it to you. It's a wholly undesirable car.
