someone tell me how this came about? its one of the longest "words" i've ever heard...

do people actually use it outside of dancing in and around chimneys and jumping in and out of sidewalk chalk drawings?

all i can do is picture these big, tough, mean looking gang members getting ready for a drive-by or something and one of them says "we gots ta watch out fo da supercalifragilisticexpialidocious, dawg!" in this nanny voice...

At first I thought this must be a parody thread... but then I saw who the OP was and now I'm not sure at all.

:music:even though the sound of it is something quite atrocious,
If you say it loud enough you'll always sound precocious,
Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!!!:music:

As far as I know that word was invented by the writers of the 70's movie "Mary Poppins", never heard it before then. Or in any context other than that movie

Of course, you could say it backwards, which is dociousaliexpiisticfragicalirepus, but that would be going to far.

I hate to imagine what greatness you were imagining with that thread title and my name as the OP.
