Super Target RULES!!!

So it's 9AM and I'm driving back from a customer's site after an early morning service call. I haven't had my coffee.

I see a Starbucks on the right, but behind it in the mall I see a Super Target. I don't know why, but I felt more compelled to pull into the Target instead of the Starbucks.

I walk in on the grocery side and there's a Starbucks RIGHT THERE. I walk past it when I start smelling fresh baked goods.

There I see a Krispy Kreme and Einstein Bagel sign that says, "Baked fresh three times daily."

I grab an Einstein everything bagel, a cream cheese and ask for a White Chocolate Mocha Latte. Paid for everything and was on my way.

As I drive past the Starbucks on the way out of the parking lot, I observe the long line of suits waiting for their coffee. Target? No wait. I take a bite out of my soft, chewy bagel and think of all the dry, stale scones I've can to choke down at Starbucks. Never again. 😀

Speaking of donut/coffee joints... Is Winchell's still around? When I was a teen, there were "Winchell's Donuts" all over Denver. I'd have a maple log and a coffee (their coffee was a lot like Dunk's with the beaucoup cream and sugar in it.) In my travels, I haven't seen them again. 🙁

Found Winchells:

Headquartered in City of Industry, Ca., Winchell's Donut House, "Home of the Warm 'n Fresh Donut?," is the West Coast's largest donut chain with over 200 units in 12 states

What's wrong with you West Coast folks?!!? Don't you like donuts and coffee? 200 units and it's the largest donut chain on the West? I think there's about 200 Dunks in the Tampa Bay area alone! 😛

I don't understand why people go to Starbucks in the morning. Just make a freaking coffee at your house/work and drink the damn thing.

So I need to install a coffee maker in the work truck? 😛

I know what you're talking about, but I was out at 7, at the customer's site at 8. I'm not drinking the customer's coffee. 😛 And then an hour's drive to the office. Coffee shops are good for people on the go.

But given the opportunity, I grind my beans the night before, set the timer on the coffee maker for 6AM and go to bed. In the morning, I pour my Thermos mug with a nice fresh cup of Joe.

must be nice to be out of the house once in a while on a work day...

I used to eat breakfast because it was much more accessible either on the way to the office or in their cafeteria.

Haha, just drink the customer's coffee. Don't even say anything about it. Just walk over and start drinking it like they owe it to you. 😀

I don't drink coffee, so, I'll never get the whole "have to have starbucks thing", I guess.

Cool that you found an unpopular one. Now that word is out though...

LOL!

That would be funny.

Walk in.

Walk past everyone...

"Hello. Good morning. How are you?"

Walk up to the coffee maker in the break room.

Poor a mug.

"Anyone catch House last night? It was a repeat, but it was still a good one."

Walk out of the break room and do what I came to do while drinking my free coffee. 😀

theres like 1000 DD in boston itself, its awsome

I have to agree with my wife. Donut Bank makes the best donuts. Too bad it's only a regional chain in Southern Indiana.

As for Super Targets, I wish they'd knock down all those pos super walmarts and put up some Super Targets. I'd settle for a Wegmans though.
Wegmans > Super Target > *

I know! What's up with that?!?! Our corporate office is in Boston and we can go 1 mile in any direction from the office and hit a Dunks. Funny stuff.

Even the convenience store (Deschei's, or something like that?) have Dunks in them!!!! 😀
