Ok, while we all wait ingfor the (real) July 22 prices drops ( :) ) let's kill some time. I would like to hear from everybody what is the best computer we can build!!!!!!!!!!

The only criteria is that you can buy every part from a "normal" website (don't give me some uber government website) or B/M. Just give me "newegg" or CC type stuff.

Forget $$$$$$$$$, just list the best in each catergory!!! (mobo, vid, ram, PS, fan, HS, OS,mouse, keyboard, sound, etc)

Let's really see what it cost to be bleeding edge!!!!!!!!!!

Sounds like a lot of fun. Of course, by the time the list is done, everything will be obsolete, and better stuff will have come out :)

There is no "one best" only the correct one for your application... So get over it.

Well, most of the time there is "one best" although yes sometimes games will perform a little better with one or the other video card but at this point in time most games perform on the TOTL nvidia card so there kind of is a best.

secretanchitman, you left out video card in your suggestions.

Get the nvidia 8800 Ultra.
