i bought a super slocket 3, cant get it to boot, i am on the computer right now, am running pentium 2 cpu, have a celeron 1 gig cpu for the slocket. HELP it does nothing but pwer up no beeps no boot
It looks like the super slocket 3 does NOT support a Tualatin CPU. This converter does.
Now, how do you tell if it is a Tualatin vs a Coppermine core? The coppermine core (FPGA - socket 370) went up to 1100 MHz. The Tualatin core (FPGA2 - socket 370) went from 1000 MHz up to 1400 MHz. If it has an integrated heatspreader (aluminum square with a hole in it) , or if it has 256K of cache, then it is a Tualatin celeron processor.
