The Discussion

I myself own a Saturn. I ocassionally go autocrossing as well, and I thought there was no way in hell you could get the car to do that. I thought it was photoshopped until someone else sent me the discussion. I know some of those people on that discussion, so I seem to take that discussion with alot of credibility.

Holy cow, how come my car can't do that?

yeah, i don't see how that's even possible in a normal car. wouldn't the tires just slide if you pushed too hot?

Well, heres how I understand it.

The ground was cement, which gives pretty good grip. Its on an old airport runway, and the ground is cracked a bit. It also was very windy. Apparently he was going into a corner too fast, hit a bump/crack of a sort, got some good air/speed, and a strong enough wind gust at the right time apparently helped blow up the car up. The car never flipped over, but apparently it broke its suspension pretty bad on the fall back down.
