Super quick question for those of you who have installed xp on a Dell...

Ok, wrong forum I know, but I need to get this done and I figured some of you use Dell's. I brought my XP reinstillation disc up here to reformat/reinstall windows, but I didn't bring the case or any papers, etc. Does the Dell XP disc require a verification code or can I just install without knowing the code? Yes I do own the disc, it came with my Dimension.

I reinstalled XP (the one that came with his Dell) for my friend and I recall there was a verification code. You should probably look around for it.

Ok, yeah it does. I know where it is, the problem is it is an hour away. Is there any way to figure it out if I have the disc?

Dell cases which came with a preinstalled Microsoft OS will have the key for that OS on a sticker on the case.
