Super Pi Dual Core Testing

I'm currently testing for stability on my x2 4400 @ 2.6/1.425v. I can prime all day long without a single error; I ran two instances of prime for 48 hours. My problem came up when running two instances of SuperPi. When running 2 separate instances of pi from 2 different folders (affinity set correctly), it's flawless. However, running 2 instances from one file (opening pi, going back and opening the same .exe from the same folder, then setting the affinity) causes the one running on the second core to error out.

Maybe it's more of an annoyance to me than a problem, seeing as how the system is completely stable besides this, but what's the reason this happens?

It sounds like the 2 cores are making changes to the same file & this causes the error not the overclock.

That explains it perfectly. The instances are writing to the same log file which causes errors. I feel so stupid now... 😀

Sometimes our focus is on the nuts & bolts when the answer is color of the automobile. I'm sure there's a better analogy but im to tired to think of one 😛.
