They are playing my poor, poor slumping Maple Leafs... :(

... glad to see Mario back, though.

I confess that I was/am skeptical about Mario's comeback, and whether he could play at the level he once did. But tonight he's making me look stupid. That second assist (passing blindly behind him to Hrdina in the slot) was pretty sweet.

If he can play the rest of the season at his former level, he'll only be adding to his amazing legend. As a Pittsburgh resident, I of course hope he does, but it's pretty hard when you're 35 and have been sitting out 3.5 years.

33 seconds out of retirement and he gets his first assist! Hockey history in the making!! It's going to be an interesting season to say the least but it's a tough night for the Leafs... yikes!

Mario ends up with 3 points (1G, 2A) and the number 1 star. Just another day at the office. :)

Mario, I'm sorry I ever doubted you.

Damn I'm pumped up. I been a Pens fan now for 12 years. I go to see them in Philly every year now, 5 straight aand counting. He looks real good. He looked like Mario. But having Jagr with him will make it easy for him to get back in the flow. Jagr will go nuts scoring points now. If we can get a defenseman and Aubin gets healthy we can make that run. He's back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i don't care what anyone says: Mario was/is the greatest hockey player ever. We've had this discussion before on the forums, with everyone saying "Well gretsky's got the highest of all the numbers." yeah, but Gretzky didn't have CANCER. Mario has grace, style, finesse, speed, size, intelligence, everything. he made goals that you watch over and over on the replay and say, "How in the hell did he even do that?!" i'm just glad i got to watch him over his amazing career.
