Howdy,

I always visit the site Bidding for travel they basically tell you what hotels are offered in what cities, what star levels they are and a lot of info on whatprices to bid at what times. They have a lot of stuff on airfare as well as rental cars too check it out. If you are going to use priceline you absolutely must check this site out first.

I have more fun going to priceline and starting my bid extremely low...say $50 for a round trip ticket...then increasing it by $15 every time til I get it!

Yeah, but the hotels work differently than the airline tickets. I have saved a lot of money on hotels via that site.

I recommend that site too. Its somewhat confusing and a pain at first, but is worth the effort if you have flexibility in your trips.

Yeah, I've definitely used this site. Very useful information. I was able to land the Grand Hyatt (****) in Union Square for $70/night when I was in San Francisco last weekend. Very good deal considering Expedia was showing prices around $250/night.

Yup, $10/night is a lot. Too bad I didn't get one and I wanted to bid for 7 days hotel in Honolulu Oahu for my March vacation :(

If you have one that not going to use. I willing to paypal $10 for the coupon.

That used to work, but now they limit the number of times you can bid (usually 3).

Using the info from the link above, you can determine how low you can start your bid so that you'll get it in your first couple tries.

Question: I'm going to Malaysia for about 3 weeks in June. Should I try to get the ticket now, or wait till later? Need some opinions. Also, I don't need return as I plan on buying a return ticket from there. What's the best way to do this, any ideas?

That site looks very very promising, but it's a bit overwhelming at first.

Btw, I also use skyauction.com, they have some good deals sometimes.

Well the best way to find low prices/airfare is to create an account and log onto that forum. read the FAq and then post a question about the trip following the quidelines, the administrator will assist you in getting the lowest prices.

Great link - thanks! :) I'll going to be traveling to Michigan next summer. Hopefully I can get a better hotel room than I would have otherwise!
