Super Flower Modular PSU

I just saw this http://www.directron.com/tt550k14.html. I was wondering how does it stand up against the other modular PSU's, Neopower, Modstream, X-Connect? I am probably going to buy a modular power supply very soon and now that I have come across this one it has given another option.

12v and -12v means dual rail right?

I have this exact PSU. I heard TTGI (i.e. SuperFlower i.e. LinkDepot) makes decent PSU and it doesn't cost too much, that's why i bought it (the others cost like $120). It's been great so far, giving me good and stable voltages.

But the fan controller on the unit i bought is not working. It always run at full speed no matter what speed setting I choose. and it's kind of hard to find tech support. The box and manual do not list any contact info. TTGI website does not list any contact info either. Link Depot website has RMA customer service contact info, but i'm still waiting for their reply. If you decide to get this one, tell me if the fan speed control works for you.

Thanks for the reply.

Well I really want a quiet power supply, if this fan controller thing is typical that would be reason for me not to get this PSU. Modstream looks the best to me right now, but I'm thinking about Neopower with some sleaves. Apparently the Antec has more stable volts. Although you would think that Antec, making a modders PSU, would added some mod-friendly extras like sleaved cables and an LED fan. But apparently they don't want to give away any more than they have to.

12v and -12v does not mean dual rails - all PSUs should have both 12v and -12v, only some have dual rails. if they have 2 separate amperage ratings for the 12v rail, then it is dual rail.

yep, without sleeved cable is the main reason that turn me away from the Antec. They make it modular but without sleeved cables! i wish they can be a little more thoughtful.

Yes without a working fan controller the TTGI is a bit noisy. It pushes a lot of air at full speed. If the fan control works then i think it is great. When the system is turned down the PSU fan continue working for a few minutes at low speed. it's nearly silent, but too bad i can't adjust the speed when system is on.

the TTGI is not dual rail. i think the antec is.
