Super Flower Color Silent 520W Triple Fans PS- Directron

Choice of colors... sweet
520 watts... niceness
3 fans... actually I think it's 4 (how is it silent, you ask? 🙂 ... ball bearing fans!!!! I'm buying a whole bunch of these as 4 ball bearing fans alone is about the same cost 😀. The details on directron say 4 and the review link at the bottom show 4... but the pics don't match so something isn't right. 3 or 4.. who cares?)
Rails look like they can hold up
I've heard SF is amongst the best for consistent good power supplies (right?)
Free Nero cd to add to my collection... why not?

Hot deal fo sho!

TTGI 520SS Review

the review was a bit old (2+ years) and it looks like the review had the advertised amperage (I think that's what it's called.) The directron shows that the +12V is rated for 18.0A, I'm guessing that there may have been modifications in the psu over time. Just a guess but it sounds good right?

has anyone had problems with the exhaust fan rattling? I had to switch mine out with a TT variable fan to get this thing silent.

The 520W TTGI PSU that I bought from Directron.com had 20A on the +12V, not 18A, but that's still kind of low compared to some of the newest PSUs out there. But as far as build quality and heft goes, the TTGI is excellent.
Edit: The PSU that I purchased was the triple-fan model, the same one mentioned by the OP. The review link is to a slightly different model, the 4-fan one, although I doubt that there is any significant difference besides just the fans.

hey guys...

my system back in january (dfi ut lanparty 250, 3400+ @ 2.9 ghz, x800 pro agp) all got toasted because of this power supply...

🙁

the weird thing is... there was a nice burn smell and the psu wouldn't start up...

i tried a day later, psu boots up... rails are great...

then i got my dfi ultra... but got an ocz powerstream for that and used my ttgi for my abit nf7-s...

you can guess what happened... it toasted that board too...

it's a great deal but you can find a better psu... don't get a cheap one... i learned my lesson the hard way
