Hello,

Hope someone can help.

Have just put a new Super Flower 500w (14 cm fan) PSU into my rig.

Eveything works sweet but when I shut down the computer the fan (and led) wont turn off. The manual says the fan will stay on for 5 minutes after the PC is shut down but after discovering the fan still on a few hours later I figured it wasnt powering down. The only way I can turn it off is to crawl under my desk and turn off at the power switch on the PSU itself.

Can anyone shed any light on this?

System specs:
AMD 64 300+
MSI Neo Platinum
2 x 512 Kingston DDR 400
Leadtek Winfast 6800 GT
60 gb IDE Seagate HD (Boot)
200 gb SATA Seagate HD
Super Flower 500w PSU
Thermaltake Xaser III

Thanks :)

PS Hi.

The box that my SuperFlower power supplies came in said 10 minutes for the fan to keep spinning. The rear LED stays on as long as the unit is plugged in. As long as the rest of the computer is off, don't sweat it. ATX power supplies do keep a trickle of power going, that's why sometimes optical mice will stay lit after the PC shuts off, and why some motherboards allow power on keyboard/mouse.
