SUPER Fast question (560 ti VS 570)

I know the answer I am just making sure there is no hidden funky....stuff...that I am missing...

Ignoring price....

I have 2 EVGA GTX 560 ti Classified's (448 810/1620)

I have 2 EVGA GTX 570 SC's

Both are the 1280mb variety.


Going in a gaming system (SLi). No brainer go with the 570s....right?

Now one other question....if I have 2 570 SC's and a 570 vanilla (all EVGA), could I clock the SCs to vanilla clocks and use all three in a tri-sli setup or would they not coexist well?

Yes, you should be able to downclock the cards. But I don't see the point of Tri-SLI with 1280mb cards. Even SLI just about makes sense.

I'd probably sell all those last gen cards and go with 7950 or GTX 670 or two.

but difference between 560 Ti 448 cores and 570 is very very small .. about 3-4%


Get single 670 and then sli it ....

Currently I play at 2560x1600.

Between 1 570 and 2 I notice a fairly large difference so thats always been nice. As for the 3rd, I happened to come across another a few days ago for nuthin so now its just sitting on the desk doing exactly that. I will probably put it in another machine but figured Id ask first if it could be added as a 3rd to my current setup.

Beyond that, whatever comes next I'll buy a few of and go from there as dual 570s seem to do the job fine for now (but since the 3rd cost me zero why not see about adding it).
