Nice catch, BadThad, and at a time when I actually some cash. There's a Newegg "combo deal" that throws in a floppy drive for "free," except it raises the shipping by about two bucks.

Yes, I went for the combo, seeing as my poor grandmother insists she "just can't get by without a floppy" in her tricked-out BF2 rig. :Q

It is OEM. :(
I got one from outpost.com a couple days ago for about this price. ;)

Just curious.
If I raid two 80GB 7200rpm SATA, will it be faster than raptor?
( I saw most of 80GB are cost less than $60, so I was wondering which setup will be better for me)

thanks,

Fast vs Quick ...

If Fast = Sustained Transfer Rate, then RAID-0 will probably be better.

If Quick = Access Time, then raptor 10,000 rpm will probably be better.

In the real world, a majority of the time, RAID-0 actually performs worse than operating the two drives independently. There is qualification to this statement, so search for the test results that Anandtech published.
