This is my first Hot Deal post so don't beat me up.
I did not see this here so if it is a repost don't beat me up either please

$17 shipped is not bad
Pluss all their cases are freeshipping. I just got 2 $17 cases (no PSU) and one $28 case (with PSU and side window). Good customer service too.

woah...th shipping costs for them must be close to the cost of these cases already. 28 bucks for a nice looking case and ps(thought it may be crap) shipped is nice. I shipped cases before and shipping alone was already $15. So about 13$ for the case itself is nice

I'm new to computer building. If I bought the $17 case, how easy would it be to install a power supply? Is it literally seating it and connecting cables or a bit more than that?

Thanks,

cmai

^^

It's pretty simple.

You might have trouble putting in the rest of the parts, though.

Installing a PSU into a case is about as difficult as changing a lightbulb. The PSU is held into the case by 4 screws, which are arranged in a non-symmetrical fashion so that the PSU can only fit in there one way. If screws aren't provided, they are normal case screws, such as you would use on an expansion slot.

Has anybody dealt with these people before? I agree, the shipped prices really seem too good to be true--unless they are liquidating inventory for some reason. Anytime I see a company substantially undercut everyone else in the computer industry, unless it's one of those "hot deal" coupon-plus-rebate-at-a-mega-store specials, I get skeptical.

500 watts has also got to be an exaggeration. $26 shipped for a 500W PSU alone, not to mention the case (!), is suspiciously low.

Here is all their power supplies, free shipping as well. The only higher quality one I see is a channel well (sparkle) 420 watt for $43.

Some of the others like the 450w Real PC Power look interesting, but I don't have a clue on quality.

Has anyone seen the inside of these cases? Just curious about construction. It'll be for my gf's new computer, so it doesn't really matter. Once I put it together it'll just sit under her desk for a year till I have to upgrade.

reviews.ragingazn.com
rating's page.... 4.25/10

=========

this is what i got from readin a few comments, buying a case seems fine, since the parts inside really cant go wrong, but if you buy a part like HDD or vid card, and the chances for it to go wrong is higher and you will need to obtain a RMA number if anything goes bad, you may want to stay clear of that.

cliff notes - buying a case is a. o. k.

The are cheap cases, yes.
But unless you plan on using them for TV stands they should work fine. Do not OC with the PSU it won't handle it I am sure.

The $27 one I got was supposed to come with a side window. It didn't... I called them they asap sent me a side with the window and a call tag for the old window. I could not have asked for more.
But it does take them a day or so to ship due to huge demand on the cases I would guess.

I just purchased a case from these people about a week ago. The case arrived in perfect condition, is actually not too flimsy, and the power supply seems to work as well with my very picky motheboard.

The only problem was that my fan had a corner broken off (probably from shipping), but it still works just fine, so que sera sera.

Even though the cases are relatively simple, and unbreakable....I have had my share of cases that had cracked faceplates / bezels, and some even with damaged power buttons. I would reccomend checking all the screws to be tight when you get it, just to be on the safe side.

Just got off the phone with a rep from the company.
They buy direct from China and Taiwan to keep cost down ,
downside is supply is erratic based on demand and Customs.
They usually receive a shipment monthly.
Prices are not promotional they do not fluctuate much, they should remain consistent.

I ordered two cases and talked to the rep thru the entire process.
I think the local computer fairs just lost another customer if everything the rep said holds true.

I added $3 for extra shipping box and $5 for the thermometer probe... still a killer deal for $25! Can't wait...
