Maybe not in the sense of Dashboard Confessional or anything, but Gibbard is emo enough imo. I hate that guy, completely ruins The Postal Service. Tamborello does amazing things, but then you get Gibbard's voice up in there and it completely ruins it.

No, Gibbard does the vocals. All of the cool music is done by Jimmy Tamborello (aka Dntel).

I'd recommend atmospheric drum and bass, great for listening in a chill mood. Almost anything on Good Looking Records, or by LTJ Bukem, or Big Bud is a good option. Especially look out for LTJ Bukem's Progressive Session 1, 2 and 3.... they are classics.
