Sunroof/Moonroof whats the difference?

I have always wondered this. So what's different?

i would think several hundred dollars

i think someone actually posted an answer before.....ford called it a "moon roof" since there was a glass panel to let moonlight in i think

sunroof = no glass, just slides back

moonroof = glass

In modern terminology they refer to the same thing. However, sunroofs used to refer to a metal sliding partition, while moonroofs were made entirely of glass.

Function-wise, these days you get sunroofs/moonroofs that tilt to open a little bit, and/or slide back for a larger opening.
