sunon or ys tech for an alpha?

Which fan sounds easier on the ears, the sunon 60x25 5100rpm 24cfm 34dBA, or the YS Tech 4700rpm 27dfm 35dBA. There are volume and pitch consideations here. Is the Sanyo quiet fan much less efficient with an Alpha66. I plan to buy one of these fans, and also a quiet sanyo in case it gets too loud!! However different vendors sell each fan.

I am planning my first rig. I think a KT-133a board. Would a modded alpha pep66 (fan on top) not fit any of them??

If you're really wanting quietness, there is a guy in the for sale forum who is selling an adapter that would allow you to use an 80mm fan with the PEP66. However, this might be a problem if you are under space constraints. I saw a Sunon 80mm fan that does around 30cfm at about 28 dBA. I found it...here it is.

This would be more expensive so you'll have to ask yourself if the extra $15-20 is worth the extra quietness. Good Luck!!

Thanks. I'm having fun with this project planning. I just noticed the noise level on these case fans. Cpu fan noise may be moot!!

You wouldnt even be able to tell the difference between 34dba and 35. I wouldnt think so atleast. So I would go with the ystech. I have a ystech on my alpha pep66 and it does the job.
