Sunglasses

Anyone know where I could get some of those imitation oakleys? Those that sell for $15 or so. I remember seeing a link a while back, but that was about a year ago.

What? You're not going to be like the rest of these fools and pay $200+ for a pair of sunglasses?

Good for you!!! 😎 I agree; sunglasses need not be expensive. You're only going to lose them, drop them, step on them or get them swiped in a month anyway!

I have a $20 limit on sunglassess. The best pairs I've ever had were $15 apiece. Foster Grants. 😎

so you calling those people in cluding me that pay $200 fools? Well actually we are not. Yes $15 sunglases will be good enough to provide shade from sun but it will not block any uv radiation. So for $15 you get shade and radiation and for $200 you get shade and no radiation.

You have no idea what you're talking about. Most inexpensive sunglasses, including Foster Grants offer 100% UV protection. Sorry to hear you were duped into paying $200.00 for something that a $20.00 pair could do.

Amen. Plus cheap glasses feel just like they are. Cheap. My Ralph Laurens are nice and sturdy feeling. So many reasons to buy good shades. Why short yourself?

I bought a pair of Oakleys after I kept breaking cheap ones. I feel pretty confident now knowing that if I break these there is a good way to get them repaired, and for not that much money.

So has anyone ever used the fakes? Are they any good?

i got a free pair of jackets for filling out a credit card application once...they suck. the feeling of the plastic is akin to Spam vs. filet mignon...

When I was young and I worked at the swapmeet/flea market, I always notice that the sunglass vendors would open a box full of UV protected stickers and place them on the knock offs/fake sunglasses.

You do pay for what you get for.

You don't have to blow your wallet for a pair of good sunglasses, but I don't suggest those swapmeet louie glasses.

I would check for sales at the REI outlets, sales at sporting goods stores, etc. Sometimes the surfstores are moving out last year models for the newer models.

go to washington D.C. walk around, and ask you will find over like 10 guys wanting to sell you them for under 8$, and you can bargain to get um down below 3$!
