Sunglasses recommendations

I want to get some polarized 100% UV protected sunglasses. I've read other threads about sunglasses and everyone seems to just recommend $100+ sunglasses like Maui Jim, Oakley, Ray Bans, Revo, etc.

I don't want to pay that much however, though i wouldn't mind having them. Can anyone recommend some high quality sunglasses i could get for under $50? I definitely need to be able to try them on first, if i find someplace to try on a nice pair of sunglasses that i like, i will likely go online and buy them. Buying from a retail sunglasses shop would probably be a bad idea. Would really rather just spend $20-30 also, but $50 is the most i'd consider right now.

You can get Oakleys, I know they're on a big sale somewhere now...let me check SD for you brb...

Edit: Could have sworn I saw some 50-70% clearance on some models on SD or somewhere if I come upon it I'll pm you or something. For now I guess good luck but $50 is definetly enough to get quality glasses that should last you a few years...

I can't seem to find many (or any) Oakleys for under $50.

Why do you hate your eyes? Spend an extra 30-40 to get something decent with polarization and won't look like crap.

HIGHLY recommend the following pair of Bolle's from eCost.

Bolle Swisher Polarized

A family member bought them for me a couple years ago and they were the best pair of sunglasses I've ever owned. I lost them out in the woods playing disc golf and wound up asking for another pair of the same kind this past Christmas. They fit great, are very durable and offer great protection. Not to mention, the price is very affordable and if you look around, you may find a promotion code to get that price down a little.

If you don't like that particular style, I still recommend going with a pair of Bolle's from eCost. Just my $.02.

Finally, a helpful reply 😀 - Thanks, i'll check those out, look pretty cool. I assume they have 100% UV protection and all that stuff? I can never seem to find sunglasses with both polarizations and uv protection listed in the same description, don't know why, does polarization automatically mean they are 100% uv protected or is uv protection just like a lower grade form of polarization?

The Swisher I linked is 100% UV protected. Amazon has the exact same pair for almost $20 more than eCost plus additional shipping. It's a great buy and a great set of shades.

Edited to add direct link to Bolle's lens description. If you hover over each one, it describes it. The Swisher has most of the ones listed.

well since you appeared to ignore my post right before his, you might want to check out campmor.com

Bolle

I have these and love them...Polarized 755

I had a nice pair of Oakley's, they lasted me about 8 months till somebody sat on them at a party. The lenses won't stay in at this point, and they are slightly bent. I still use them while driving, but can't do much else while wearing them, lest they fall off or a lens pop out.
