Hi,
I'm about to buy a pair of shades and I'm undecided between this pair of Rayban Predator Sport Metal Wrap II and this of Killer Loop Pandemania. The Killer Loop are listed at $53 US + 14$ for shipping at Giarre.com in Italy.

I'd like to get the lenses from the Rayban on the frame of the Killer Loop, but I cannot find something similar, hehehehehe...

Do you know some shades that would be what I'm looking like?

Also, is polarized really worth it? I've never had the chance to compare some polarized and some non-polarized shades...

Thanks
Guillaume

think of polarized like screen blinds. very fine ones of course:) they reduce glare because it blocks the light that is reflected off the ground. i dunno, think light waves.

u can test for polarized by putting two lenses perpendicular to each other. kinda like criss crossed miniblinds, they will block 100% of the light.

I believe you, but please elaborate....

Without going into a lot of detail, a polarized lens will block a lot of unwanted reflections (like the reflection of the dashboard in the windshield on bright days) and cut down on glare.

Polarized lines will only let light coming in from one angle. All other light will be cut out. It will allow the light that is allowed in from the angle it comes in though. Light coming in from an angle has two components. The vertical and the horizontal components. If the lenses are polarized it will block it in one direction and let it in the other. This drastically cuts down on glare and makes the contrast much better. Some golfers will wear them because of this reasons. I think David Duval does? Or a anme like that.

I myself have Oakley A wire frames with Ice Iridium lense that are polarized and prescripted. The lenses only were £150 ~ $200 but they are prescripted so that was the bulk of the cost. Frames were £120.....

I would pay for the best quality lenses you could afford. You only have one pair of eyes so make them LAST.

ive never had polarized shades and i have always been satisfied with my cheap shades............ and i cant find the models i want with polarized lenses

if i understand, polarized is like for more specific use than general use?
