I just bought a 20 pound bag of sunflower seeds for $6 bucks for my 6 ounce rodent, but I just realized that the bag would probably last till it's death and then some. So I got to get rid of it somehow. Anyone know how long uncooked, unsalted (marked as bird feed) sunflower seeds will last? I figure if birds can eat it so can we.

if i seriously had nothing else to eat, i may consider it but only AFTER washing them. but for you, might as well just eat them with a big container of salt.

I'm considering cooking it like the supermarket ones, it'll be a learning experience.
