I was hoping the Pats would score so this game would go to OT. Oh well it was a good game anyways, albeit a bunch of mistakes on both sides of the ball.

at least we agree on one thing, it sucks when the QB makes the correct read
delivers the ball on target and it gets dropped, I hate it!!

He came from Green Bay. And yes, Brady got screwed tonight...2 of his INT's were not his fault and neither were all of the first-down giving penalties (taunting, illegal contact, illegal use of hands to face) that were correctly called, but had nothing to do with the play. NE beat themselves up tonight and could have won this game.

Now the colts will home field adv. in any playoff scenerio haveing
beaten the pats and broncos allready. If you think there's a lot of
Peyton manning ads now, what if the colts win the SB...I'm cringing
allready.

Hindsight is 20/20, but I'm surprised that the Pats didn't run the ball more considering they had early successses with the run against the Colts porous run defense.

SB and BLEW IT! Big ben played a crappy game and THE HAWKS STILL BLEW IT..

And if Hasselbeck keeps playing like he has been and keeps getting the Seahawks into the playoffs for the next few years, he will likely be in the hall of fame someday too.

New England has consistently had a better defense, offensive line, and special teams than Seattle. It isn't just because "Brady" is there. Put Brady at QB at San Francisco and see how many games he wins...

i am by no means a NE or Brady fan BUT comeon, you are going to compare Hasselback to Brady?

you forget to mention that Hasselback has had Shaun Alexander all those years, so far this year without Alexander, Hasselback hasn't been nearly as good.

OTOH, NE rarely has had a great running game (looks pretty good this year with Mulroney and Dillon). but no where near Alexander.

You shouldn't have to say "20/20 hindsight"! They should have run the ball 40 times against the 32nd ranked D. I was at this game, and let me just say, everyone in the stands new that the smart play was to try and run the ball down these guys throats... and here we are chucking at around and getting picked off. Brady's body language looked just like the Denver game for christ's sake! Why can't the coaches pickup on him not having a good day and just run the ball, especially with Maroney averaging almost 5 yards a run?

I was so angry after this game, I think the entire coaching staff did a pisspoor job gameplanning.

Agreed, I'm a big Pats fan and was yelling at the TV to RUN THE BALL!!! They were doing fine, with 1 fumble, but that happens. It took forever to get the ball back to Dillon on the ground. Should have gone right back to it and just relied on them to march them down field, then use some play action and go deep. That is football fundamentals! ARRRGG! I am not happy with the playing calling by the pats this week.

On an other note. The refs were incompetent, I didn't see too much favoritism (although that 4th down "conversion" was a gift).

It also baffled me why they didn't continue to run the ball. You don't try to get into a shootout and outscore the Colts. Also, way too many 3rd down penalties that gave the Colts automatic 1st downs. That was frustrating, especially seeing how Adam V was doing everything he possibly could to help the Pats win. Butterfingers Faulk annoyed me to no end last night too. There's a lot of fingers to point after this loss, becuase it was a game they could've and should've won.

It was a great game. The score at half time was a bit misleading. Sure the Patriots went into the second half with a sizeable lead, but one of their touchdowns was a fluke off an incredible defensive play and interception touchdown return.

The Colts definitely built momentum in the 3rd quarter. You could tell that the Patriots defense was wearing down, although not unexpected given they have been on the road for a long stretch, and apparently half the team had the flu.

The second half was more what fans were expecting...both teams making incredible plays. I was a bit disappointed that the Colt's two big drives in the 4th quarter were sustained by referee flags, but that is how the chips fall sometimes.

But the closing minute is what makes the playoffs so exciting...the Patriots down by 4, requiring a touchdown to win the game...driving down the field with two timeouts left, and Brady in a position he has been in many times before...at that point, risks are necessary, and Brady throwing an interception was the luck of the draw.

As others have said, I wish the Patriots did run the ball more, especially in the 4th quarter, as the Colts defense was tired and getting quite sloppy.

All in all, sorry to see the Patriot lose...but at least now Manning has an opportunity to live up to the hype, and add an actual Super Bowl ring to justify his endorsements.
