The best hd out there. I have one and get 122 MB/s average sequ transfers. I paid $8-$10 more for mine and my wifes.

I would get another if I was near a mc.

I called Microcenter last night and they said I could pick it up today at that price as long as I held the item with a credit card yesterday. So, it might make sense to try that angle next time. Microcenter is not far from where I work so why make the trip on a day off if I can go on a work day.

Same here. Hey, did you go to the MIT flea too?

What's that?

Basically I had to go down to Skokie to meet up with a friend, and then decided to head to Fry's for their anniversary sale. Well, I didn't know that I couldn't turn from 94 to 90 West, so ended up going all the way down to the 290. Big waste of time. It was a Sunday afternoon, and in places both 90/94 and 290 were just like a parking lot. Then I get to Fry's finally, and they were OOS on just about anything good from their "Anniversary sale prices lasts 7 days." The $6.99 100 pack DVD+/-R blanks, $0.29 4 pack AA alkaline batteries, refurb Ooma Hub, Core i7 2600K, plus whatever else I looked at... yeah all sold out. Thanks Fry's, for anticipating demand as usual. Not.

I went to Micro Center and they pricematched the $250 Core i7 2600K. Thanks, Micro Center!

Now I just have to decide whether to keep the 2500K for a future upgrade (my LAN rig maybe?) or sell it to recoup some money.

I called Microcenter last night and they said I could pick it up today at that price as long as I held the item with a credit card yesterday.

The problem is the near 70 mile drive. :\
