I've been waiting for this HSF to come back in stock on Xoxide for months and still nothing! I can't seem to find it anywhere else now either. Is it discontinued? Production issues? Something?! Anyone have a clue?

Depending on how much you want it and to what lengths you're willing to go...CoolPC.com.au has some (or had some). Mine was shipped last Friday for like 72.00 total including shipping.

we could also play devils advocate and say that the Tuniq was more popular than the company could ever imagine...so they stopped production on purpose and when they go back into produduction it will in very controlled amounts and for more money....

But we all know that would and could never happen right????????lol

I think they make plenty of profit on the sale of the HS itself that if they could produce some volume they would be. Why would they deprive themselves of revenue for months at a time? Even if they jacked the price up 20% to the retailers they could easily make way more by keeping up a constant flow of production with the same price.

The ones that make the money are the resellers that can now jack the prices up and make even bigger margins on them since they aren't anywhere.

They have been available in Taiwan and Hong Kong all along!

Supposedly, you can buy them direct for $68.10 usd -- $175 usd to ship 10 pieces!

Maybe we should do a group buy... ;)

The Tuniq Shipment Arrived! - Tuesday 26 September, 2006
At long last we finally received our shipment from Tuniq/Sunbeam today, which included the T120's and a bunch of other new items, we have been absolutely bombarded with orders for the T120's over the past week and only have a few units remaining in stock. We are expecting stock to last us through the next 7-10 days though, so get in quick if you are chasing one of these very sought after coolers. The next shipment is already being manufactured and looks to be in Australia around the 15th of October.
I'm keeping an eye out now!!! :)

Yeah, I know what you mean, but...

I saw a video of a Honda Civic beating a Ferrari, in a street race, once.

I think I'd still rather have a Ferrari F355, you know? :)

Tuniq Towers have become legendary! I'm not gonna be happy 'til I own one...

I wished these forums had a e-mail notification for whenever someone replies....

Anyways, since I am hoping to upgrade this month (with the release of the G80's, hopefully updated chipsets from Nviida) and etc. I might have more options with the motherboard choices and GPU's so I wont' have to settle for a X1900 XT and a Asus P5B deluxe.

Anyways...since the machine's broken down and I still can't find anything in stock for this heatsink, whats a good air cooled alternative?

SOLD OUT :(!!!!!

I did consider both the Thermlaright 120, and the Infinity, but I was thinking the Tuniq had more cooling power than those two.

I'm not as big on silence as most people as I am coming from a Thermalright SLK with a 92mm Tornado...I like my cooling performance (even if it is extreme). But after hearing that tornado for about a few years, I wouldn't mind losing just a tiny bit of performance for something slightly quieter. From what i've been able toresearch so-far the Tuniq is the best for the range of cooling.

eXtreme PC gear has 'em in stock, but don't blink or they'll be gone!

Most dealers are seeing their shipments sold out in 2 days...

It doesn't tell you if it's in stock or not. For all you know you can order and be placed on a waiting list.

LoL!

Look, I don't mean to be rude, but I had a Tuniq Tower 120 on backorder since April at CoolerGuys. I knew SunbeamTech was making these things all along, 'cause they've been available 'all along' in Taiwan and Hong Kong. You don't know how many times I had to bite my tongue when I heard that stupid 'broken machine' urban legend...

Anyway, the fact of the matter is, Tuniq Tower 120s are finally becoming available in North America -- so, believe it! ;)
