Sunbeam Rheobus question.

Im wondering (from those of you who have this product), does the Sunbeam Rheobus LEDs slowly change color as you turn the nob, or do they switch from one color to the other? I mean, does it just noticably switch from red to blue, or do you get a dimming/fading efect with some purple somewhere in the middle?
 
red. bam blue. bam back to red. No slow dims nothing like that. Either full bright red or full bright blue.

The reason why Im asking is because Im designing a rheobus that adjusts from 7V to 11.3V that will dim/fade ultra bright red/blue LEDs with an acrylic faceplate and knobs. Parts will be in next week. I will have to play around with resistence values to get the dimming effect matched with the particular LEDs I ordered, but the circuit has been tested to work the way I want it to. I will also have to do some load/temp testing. The faceplate will be clear, but I plan to 'frost' the knobs to get better light effect.

Its so much more fun to DIY than to just oreder it. 😉
