Sunbeam Rheobus lights too bright? Here's how to fix them.

When I first bought the rheobus I was amazed at what it could do to quiet down a case running 4 Panaflo H1As and a Vantec Tornado. After wiring everything all tidy, I turned the computer on. Then BLAM, the LEDs turn on and become your room's secondary light source. These things are seriously super bright so I needed to tone them down. At first I tried just draping a towel over my case... it works but was a hassle. Then I wanted to change the LEDs. But then looking at it, I took a pair of pliers and poked them back into the face plate. The result? They are now pointing slightly upwards over the LED holders and shine just enough light so that you can see the blue/red, but not enough to make your room that color during the night. It's actually a cool effect.

I've also heard of people using a Sharpie to "paint" the LED.

Or you could have soldered some small resistors in series with the leds to limit the current.
