Sunbeam Rheobus can not control my Vantec Tornando 80mm?

I have already tested the Sunbeam unit with all 5 case fans and it works no problem. Now my CPU fan is the Tornando that uses a 4pin power plug with a small single yellow RPM 3 pin. I bought a 4-3 pin adapter so I can run the tornando directly into the 3pin power on the back of the Rheobus. Well I tested the Tornando with 2 different 4-3 pin adapters and I pluged into proven bay channels so I know the Rheobus is working. It just does not work if I plug the fan into the adapter then into the Rheobus, the fan works if I plug it into the Power Supply, what gives? I do know the fan has another black/yellow cable in the 4 pin plug that is not accessed due to the 4-3adapter is only red/black. How do you guys get your Tornando fans to work on these Rheobuses? I am stumped and it sucks but I have to leave my problem cause I have to leave to work. I hope some of you have incountered this and can help. Thanks.

I just tried the 4-3 pin adapter directly into the MB 3 pin jack and no power as well. Thinking maybe since the other 2 channels on the fans 4 pin plug has no power that its making the fan not work. What you think?

if im not mistaken, if the red is plugged in, that means ur fan's only getting 5v (i think the red is 5v and the yellow is 12v, someone smarter pls correct me if im wrong) see if u can switch them around so that the yellow is in the place of the red wire . dont bother moving the black, they are both the same

I'm banking that your 4-3 pin adapter is the culprit. It probably is wired wrong. I'd suggest you try another one, or wire one up yourself. The rheo you have (I have it too) supports 20 W/ch, so power is not an issue at all seeing as how your fan takes around 9 Watts.

Just got home from work and it was that the red/black wire on the 4-3 adapter was not going into live power, the yellow/black side actually had all the power going into the fan. Did not think to look for that since plug was inserted correctly. Had to totally cut the sides off the 4 pin plug and reverse the way it pluged in to the fan plug. Sweet , well off to hiding all the wires, the trick is to make a case neat looking but still easy to remove parts and unplug items. Thanks for the ideas guys.
