Sunbeam 680W ATX PSU 12$ Shipped AR (50$)

I was expecting the 12v rails to be way under 680w. The sticker reads 2x28a = 672w.

Edit looks like a OCZ clone. Prob a B-stock re-badge

Sunbeam rebate?! You'll never get it. NEVER!

Do not buy. PERIOD.

After my experience I will never buy another Sunbeam product; ever. NOT EVER. F*** 'em!

YOU HEAR THAT, SUNBEAM?! I STILL WANT MY $10.00 FROM LAST YEAR, GODDAMNIT! NO EMAIL; NO NOTHING! B*******!!!

I HOPE A LOT OF PEOPLE SEE THIS AND THAT YOUR COMPANY GOES OUT OF BUSINESS; YOU DISHONEST F****!!!

While our language filter has been dropped we prefer you keep the swearing to where we allow it, OT and P&N.

Hotdeals is PG rated and the swearing, while we might over look one cuss word, yours was excessive, and excessive profanity is not allowed as per the guidelines.

Please confine your verbiage to less-colorful descriptions.

$50 is enough for me to drive by and ask them politely in person for my money.

I live on the other side of the continent.

They are a dishonest OEM. I WANT MY $10.00!"
IF YOU BUY A SUNBEAM PRODUCT WITH A REBATE, YOU'RE ASKING FOR IT. THEY'RE CROOKS. YOU WILL NEVER GET YOUR REBATE.

I agree that Sunbeam/Tuniq rebates are complete scams. I got conned out of 3 Sunbeam/Tuniq rebates last year (I do >50 rebates a year so I'm proficient with the process). Repeated emails all went unanwered. No wonder Sunbeam/Tuniq have large rebates.

Sunbeam appears to rebadge whatever turns up cheap, so its pointless to apply much from the review of one unit to a different one. Not that I am tempted to buy one regardless.

I live near there too... I would hand deliver my rebate and sit there waiting for my cash...

That reminds me I have to drive to MSI corporate office and get my rebate that was mailed awhile ago...

I realize that they are different units but it shows what Sunbeam is willing to do. A PSU is not something to be cheap about, IMO. A 400 watt corsair is undoubtedly a better unit than this

you are teh same person that asked if crushing the led from a fan would make the fan stop working? Also i have got warnings for even thinking about bad mouthing a product brand so surprised you didnt get anything similar and your post deleted. I personally love sunbeam core contact coolers never used the psu's tho. And never bought anythign with a rebate and expected to get rebate.

No one will get a warning if they are alerting the HD forum to any personal experiences with the product or as in this case, alerting someone to the fact that receiving the rebate might be difficult . This is not thread crapping. Though the poster was warned for excessive profanity, we do appreciate the info regarding the rebate.

Yes. A perfectly logical question when dealing with DC current considering that I don't know whether it's a series or parallel circuit. I'd never tried it because those TriCool fans are rather pricey.

As I explained above, I was intoxicated when I typed that mess, I was warned about it, and I'll be careful to keep my rants clean in the future. That doesn't make what I typed any less true, though.

Yes, it was a Core-Contact Freezer that I didn't get the rebate on. It's a good cooler, yes, but that's not the point, here. The point is that Sunbeam's rebates are nothing more than a scam, and I'm not the only one that's gotten burned by them. Rebates are offered as an incentive to buy, and when they aren't honored for no apparent reason it's nothing short of fraud.

Well I went for one and received it and installed it today. It's quiet and quite nice looking. It seems to be running a mid range system nicely.

I noticed the rebate has to be postmarked 14 days after the invoice date, so I'll be filling it out today or tomorrow and keeping good documentation.
