Currently have 4g mem installed but only shows 3.2. Anyone experience this problem with any other machines?

That is normal. Google PCI hole. The issue is that on a 32bit PCI machine with 4gigs of memory, the OS still needs to map certain areas (like the agp apature) and addresss space for cards into the 4 gig address space. My buddies 4 gig machine reports 2.75 ;)

It's the not so much talked about reason why 4gig machines aren't the value prop they seem ;)

Yep, on a 32-bit system, going beyond 2GB either leaves you with a large portion of unusuable memory or you have to do a lot of tweaking.

My Tyan board features a BIOS feature that will remap part of my memory above 4GB.

Look in your BIOS settings for "memory hole" or similar. With some luck you're only a single setting away from enjoying all your memory. (Mine can be set to either "Software" or "Hardware", I suspect the latter setting only applies to Ex stepping Opterons)

(I've tested on both 32- and 64-bit versions of Windows 2003 -- works like a charm, no reinstall necessary)

I only have 2GB on mine, and no Windows installed.

Other than this problem, how do you like Win X64 on this machine?
I tried X64 beta before, it recognized all the components and run without any problem.
