Sun terminal on PC monitor

I am looking at buying some SparcStations. These have the proprietary sun video connector. is there a way to connect this to my monitor? i have a Sony Multiscan E400 (19" Trinitron). I really would like to use these terminals as small firewalls or basic servers, if anyone can help please let me know. E-mail is prefered but a post is just as well

I know you can get a BNC cable for the SUN, which will work with monitors that have BNC inputs.
The Sony you are speaking about should have BNC inputs.
Where to get the cable? You'll have to do some searching, but I know they make them, We use them at work.

Avedis.

There not exactly cheap, but they do exhist. I worked for a Sun Reseller and we used them all the time.
Look here and other places using
13W3 as the keyword. You might find them cheaper, but we always charged about $35-$40 for each one.

Here's what you're looking for. You can get them cheaper from CDW.com......$19 but they aren't listed on thier website. You'll have to call and ask for item # 192459 "APC Sun Adapter APC-5278".

From what I remember the 13W3 to VGA adapter only works with PCI graphics cards.

I tried with a Sparcstation 4 and Sun support claimed that they will not work with Sbus graphics cards, personally I cannot see how this could make a difference but I could not get it to work.
