sun netra x1 max hard drive?

ive been looking online and cant find out what the maximum hard drive capacity the netra x1 bios supports. it was only shipped from sun with 20 and 40 gb drives. is there any bios limitation to the size of the drive?

also, since the x1 has usb, and if i run debian with kernel > 2.4, should it support an external usb hard drive?
