looks like Yankees and Red Sox will go down the the last 3 games where the yankees play the red sox in boston.

The indians are putting pressure on the white sox and that looks like it could go down to the wire, where they again play each other last 3 games of the season.

the most intriguing story line is, what if all four teams end up tied (with the slump the white sox have been in lately, this is possible). wowsers.

nl is a bit more settled with really only the wild card race left.

Houston and Philadelphia.

i listen all the time to the local sports talk shows, so between that and trying to keep up with the braves, my head is full of sports trivia.

it is an amazing baseball season tho.

no mention of the braves?

francoeur, furcal, chipper, and andruw all hit homers tonight. andruws was his 51st to help his run as the hr champ this season.

with this win and the phillies losing to cincinnati (about to happen) the braves magic number is at 3.

Here is what I'm hoping for:

Division winners:
Red Sox
Indians
Angels

Wild Card:
White Sox

I'd love it if the Indians pull this off. Been waiting so long. No way they could win it but if they make it past the first round I'll be more than happy. Definitely gonna be a good October.

;) i've got a whole thread on the braves. but ya, they've probably been one of the more exciting teams in baseball this season. especially considering all the rookies they brought up etc.

andruw is making a push at the NL MVP. really it is a two horse race at this point, Andruw or Pujols. Pujols is the better offensive player but Andruw may have been more valuable to the braves, especially that stretch when chipper was out.

yeah, too bad there arent enough of us to keep that thread alive. andruw really needs to step up till the end of the season if he wants that mvp.

braves perfect number is 3.

Houston has a 2 game lead on the phillies, it's pretty much over for the phillies

yankees and sox tied.

so, basically, AL Wildcard and AL West are only races with any drama anymore.
