I'll call some hospitals and apply for a job related to translating, but for the summer I want a job or at least some experience even if it's not paying. I can speak English and Hindi fluently and enough Spanish to help translate basic phrases, I'm in my 3rd year of Spanish.

My other interests lie in cars and computers. With computers I figure I'd want a salesman position and most people say they don't like working retail so for now I'd like to avoid not to mention most places not hiring me. With cars, I guess maybe I could find some mechanic or dealership willing to take me in and work with them at no pay, it would make their load easier even if they just hand me the labor things to do on cars because I'd be learning more about the cars if I worked on them daily.

These ideas are probably going too far and I'll probably be bashed here on AT, but I need some real opinions and if you don't like the ideas, what kind of jobs would you reccomend in the translation, computers, and car markets?

I worked in a computer store when i was young from about 12-16, building computers and such for not a lot of money.

i would say it was a good experience as it helped me go to a temp agency and get some real work which helped me get some internships which helped me get some real jobs etc.

didn't that ever get boring? I've thought of that before, but I figured I'd get bored putting a motherboard in a case and then all the parts, then troubleshooting if there was a bad part or problem

yeah it got boring, but it was better then working at hot dog on a stick or someo ther stupid mall job.

since you have already started writing software, try to find a local software company and ask them if you could do a free internship, youre like 16 right? Just tell them that you want to learn how real software is made and you dont mind doing some grunt work to get your foot in the door. at that age you are going to have to walk the streets looking for work.
