I have a funny Lance Armstrong story <--- not about Lance, actually.

My Dad was recently diagnosed with Stage IV esophageal cancer, he's having a pretty rough time of it, but he's fighting, and he's commited to fight.
One of his friends (he has tons of friends, callers and visitors out the wazoo), gave him a LiveStrong bracelet...
He threw it away, "Fvck that sh!t", he said "What do I need a fvcking support group?"
He's a funny guy, he's the one fighting it, and he doesn't need solidarity with Lance Fvcking Armstrong to do it.

More power to Lance though. He's pretty hardcore.

Exactly. It drives me nuts that the fvcking French have to keep accusing him of doping when they've had no proof whatsoever, so I'd love to see him whoop their asses one more time just to REALLY piss them off.

I feel for your family man. Your dad sounds cool. My mom and my aunt are cancer survivors, and I am riding for them this weekend. But I know how it feels to want to do something to help but know you can't really do anything but be there for them. Stage 4 is da sux.

The French are a bunch of arrogant assholes that think everyone else is arrogant, and whenever they get beaten the other team cheated somehow. It isn't specific to bike riding, but since Le Tour is their main event, that "patriotism" (IMHO bastard custard filled with bastard filling in bastard sauce) is bolstered even more. It is just asinine and moronic.

And their bike riders are a bunch of assholes, too. Anyone see the biker fight or the French gloater videos online. If I find them again, I will post them. But basically the breakdown is that the biker fight is between two french bikers on the same team (SAME TEAM) fighting and beating each other up over who was going to take the win, and the gloater video is a french rider who gloats near the end of a ride because he has a big lead, falls off his bike and loses the race. I guess I am being racist, but the way their society treats others is totally messed up in a lot of ways.

You're absolutely right. It's not racist, it's just a culture thing. They're very patriotic, somewhat to a fault. What can't be denied is they're going after Armstrong with no proof (the L'Equipe article came out AFTER the claims, and even it doesn't count as "proof").
