Suitable RAM for some overclocking of A64 without breaking the bank?

Is there some alternative to buying very high priced RAM for my new Athlon 64 system I am putting together? I would like to experiment with overclocking the system, especially after reading reviews here where great overclocks can be acomplished with the cheaper 90nm Athlon 64 939 CPUs.

2x512MB of value RAM costs about $150 where super overclockable RAM such as OCZ 3200 Platinum sell for about $280 for 2x512MB.

Have any users found a decent cheaper alternative between the presumed non-overclockability of value RAM and the super expensive RAM often used in reviews?

Thanks in advance.

A question on the dividers on AMD 64's -- is it the same as p4's with a 1:1 ; 5:4 and 3:2 divider? eg. what are the divider's available? also what is the HTT got to do with this?

will it be a problem overclocking a s939 3000+ if my ram doesn't like more than 210mhz or so?

the dividers on the a64 are 1:2(100), 2:3(133), 5:6(166), and 1:1(200)

1:2 -- doesn't this mean you could use some totally crap piece of pc2100 ram to overclock? I know it wouldn't be good but it will still work? :p
so to the guy at the top of the thread -- if u want to do it on the cheap -- u dont need to buy anything special

i've had good luck with these 2x512 geil; great for the price.

also just built one with these 2x256PDP which are stable at 270.

running these in my kingston hyperx s939 right now at 270Mhz 1:1. a bit more expensive, but if you don't have HL2 it comes with it free, heh.

i've heard mostly good things about OCZ tho i've no first hand exp with them. have some corsair xms pc3700 that won't even post in any of my amd rigs tho....
