IBM, Quantum, Seagate. Used them extensively in my home and friend's machine. Very reliable.

Get a Maxtor if you dont mind giving them another chance.

The Quantum Fireball Plus AS 20GB can be had for as low as $90 after coupon and rebate, free shipping from buy.com before the new year.

The way prices are now, you can get a 30 gig for just about the same price as a 15-20 gig. I recently bought 2 Quantum LM 30 gigs from buy.com. After coupon and rebate they were $78 each. They show as being "on order" now though. As LXi said, if you are going to get a Quantum from Buy.com, get it soon. The rebates on the LM and AS drives end 12/31.
