Hi, I'm a student at a UC school right now, and I'm thinking of building a new computer. Right now I can't decide between a dual processor or a single processor computer. I'm majoring in aeronatical/mechanical engineering, so I'll be running a lot simulations an a lof CAD/CAM/CAE programs. (I-DEAS Master Series v8). Furthermore, I'm taking a compSci class right now because I plan to transfer soon, and I'll be running Linux for most of my programming classes, however, I will be running Windows 2000Pro or XP Pro. Lastly, I was thinking of getting a Quadro 2 Pro based graphics card, but on second thought, would it be better to run a GeForce3 or Radeon 8500? Thanks for the advice.
