suggestions to replace 32mb radeon? relatively cheap with dual support?

I'd like to replace my old AIW radeon with something. I don't game a lot, a little freelancer, diablo 2, counter-strike now and then. I'd like something that will support dual monitors rather than just using an old PCI card too... i was looking at the Radeon 9000pro.... any other suggestions? cheaper is better, thanks in advance

AGP? How cheap is "cheap"? Seeing as you play some 3D games, You'ld probably be better off with a 8500/9100 than a 9000.

The ATI 9100?s are faster than the 9000pro?s (and cheaper too), but some of them don?t support dual monitors - it varies. Sapphire had some 8500LE?s (old 9100) that supported dual and some that didn?t, you had to carefully check the model number. See my post in this thread
Neither of the current 2 models (64MB, 128MB) of Sapphires 9100?s supports dual.

To my knowledge, all of the 9000pros support dual so that would be the way to go, unless you can find a 9100 that does.

In this article the Gigabyte 9100 does not have dual support and the PowerColor 9100 does.

Add, I believe you need an adapter to use the DVI port with a monitor. The OEM models (brown paper bags models LOL) don?t come with adapter and the retail boxed version do, but are more expensive. Some sites also sell the adapter separately for the OEM cards.

And some cards only have DVI-D connectors, which AFAIK can't be used with a DVI to HD15 adapter (the description should say whether it can be used or not). You probably want to see a DVI-I connector, which can be used for either a flatpanel or (with adapter) a CRT.
