Suggestions/Opinions on system

Hi, I'm planning to build a new system and was wondering if you could
give me your opinions/suggestions on the parts I'm thinking about

CPU: AMD 64 3400+ (1M cache)

MB: MSI K8T Neo FIS2R

PS: Thermaltake Silent PurePower 480W

Video Card: ATI Saphhire Radeon 9800 Pro 128 MB

RAM: Kingston 512 MB PC-3200 DDR400

Optical Drive: ** LiteOn 52x32x52 CDRW/16X DVD or LG CDRW/DVD ?? **

HD: ** either Maxtor DiamondMax Plus 9 200G SATA or WD Digital Caviar SE 200G SATA ??**


Any opinions on which optical drive and HD to get or on anything else?

have an LG 4480B been in use actively for 1.25 yrs now..excellent drive..built one system with the Liteon combo drive..its a bit noisier than an LG tho..

Any opinions on which optical drive and HD to get or on anything else?

quite a few people will suggest Seagate nowadays due to their just announced 5 yr warranty..gl

Looks good,

I would consider this video card LinKfor 2 reasons, first of all i dont trust the Saphhire 9800 pro after there 128bit scam and secondly this MSI card has a better heatsink for overclocking purposes.

You can also consider getting 1 gb of ram, and dont go sata if you dont have the experience.
