Van Nuys in adjacent to and between Valley Village and Encino/Reseda. You should both move... or break up so you don't need to drive through Van Nuys anymore. Not worth the risk with all the "illegals", you know?

How come no pics of the gf even after the phone was returned? ATOT has invested time, indifference, and mockery into this thread. The "illegal's" parents got their $100 reward. Where's our reward???

LOL you know the girl. Your roommate at UCSB was friends with her. She came by once in a while.

I just gotta say, you lost a fucking phone and expected them to just give you another discounted phone?

What were you expecting!?

My friend dropped his 2-day-old iPhone 4 "2 feet" onto kitchen tile and the screen shattered. Apple just replaced it for free. Of course, they had NO obligation to do it.

I have an old 3G, and have dropped it onto concrete numerous times with no damage, it's much more durable than I would have thought.

Thats good because I have many memories in that phone. :\

I dropped my old 3G repeatedly back in the day, including some pretty nasty ones. Then I was squatting down while moving quickly to a chair, and pulling my phone out at the same time. It somehow flew out of my hands horizontally, only a few feet. It only left my hand about 1.5' from the floor. That shattered it :(

It's easy to fix the glass and digitizer on a 3G. On an i4, the whole (expensive) LCD must be replaced.

Apple != carrier.
Manufacturer != Reseller

Verizon PAID Apple for the original phone. The costs are much higher for manufacturers to just give someone a new phone.

Apple replaces stuff all of the time even though they have no reason to. My home button got stuck, new iPhone. That new iPhone's battery was shit, I got a new one.

Isn't that what I said?

If I have to say it:
My friend purchased his through AT&T. They couldn't help him. Apple, graciously, replaced the phone.
