EPoX EP-9NDA3J Motherboard & AMD Athlon 64 3200+ CPU. I want to go with 2 gigs of ram running dual channel. Should I go with 2 1-gig sticks or 4 512s? I am not into overclocking that much, so I want to spend my money wisely!

If you are just looking for fast, stable stock memory, look at some PC3200 Crucial. As for number of sticks, I'd go with two.

This brings up another question. Will any RAM I choose run in dual channel mode, as long as I choose 2 sticks of the same type, brand, and speed? I am leaning towards two 1-gig sticks.

You could buy a package set of RAM like Kingston or Corsair which is made to run dual channel, or if you buy from Crucial than you can buy seperate sticks because they use their own chips. Most other companies order chips from someone else so if you don't buy a set, the sticks might not be compatible.
