Does anyone have any good suggestions on what type of cd player I should get. I'm trying to find one that doesn't skip when jogging and isn't very expensive. Thanks.

Panasonic has always been reliable to me. I've had one for 5 years with no problems at all. The rechargeable batteries saved me a lotta money also! :D

Panasonic, definitely Panasonic. I've had one for nine years and it still works great. The rechargeable battery gave out but I am running an A/C adapter with it. Works great. Yeah. Panasonic. Definitely. Yeah.

i didn't know you could jog with a cd player...i have a panny, and it has 40 secs...but it does skip when reading CDRs. Keep in mind that various cd players work diff with cdrs.

you're probably better off with a MP3 player. Definitely no skip. Yeap. No Skip.

No Mp3-player, No Mp3-cd player, No Minidisc (I had them all except the mp3 cdplayer)!

Get Panasonic I have TWO

I have tried out the sony (g-protection, while running)/awia(POS flimsy) both skip.

One panasonic is my old one SL-SW870 is just a cd player (if you are interested I can sell it, although I think I trashed all the accessories for it).

My new panasonic CD-Player with AM/FM radio SL-SW869 (Cus I love stern/leykis).

These things are built great simple and wont break like a sony that you have to carry around with bubble wrap.

Panasonic Shockwave all the way! I run daily and the panasonic hasn't skipped at all. Sony/Awia did in a matter of minutes.

mpg, not MP3 CDPlayer -- just MP3 player. Where you convert all your music into little files on your harddrive and download them into the MP3 player. If there is no disc spinning and no grooves, then there is nothing to skip. Simple as that. And you don't have to carry all your CD with you and you can make your own compilation of different CDs. Good deal!

No, I didn't miss the off ramp. I did say that the Panasonic would be a good portable CD Player. But I am also saying that if you want absolutely no skip, then an MP3 player might be better. My friend has one that he can put like two or three CDs on. Don't know how much memory or what the sound quality is cause I personally prefer a CD to MP3.

i have a sony, cant think of the type, but its silver, and a good portion of it is made out of metal. Its very futuristic looking, with red platic, etc. Anyways, it never skips, i dont even bother with skip protection when i am walking with it, since it just wears down the battery on a function that isnt even needed.

Sony and Panasonic are probably your best bet. My Sony has G-Protection and I have actually seen a demonstration where they threw the thing back and forth and it didn't skip. :)
